The Independent Corrupt Practices (and other related offenses) Commission has commenced tracking over 70 executive and constituency projects worth 7.3 billion naira across Borno State.A Principal Superintendent with the Borno State office of the Commission, Abubakar Gujja, revealed this to newsmen noting that the project tracking exercise is on the behest of the Chairman of the Commission, Professor Bolaji Owasanoye, at the Maiduguri Dental and Eye Hospital exercise on Monday.According to him, the chairman is not alone in this initiative; he is carrying along the entire Board of the Commission to ensure transparency and fraud-free execution of all such projects appropriated in the budget.He added that the commission would seek the assistance of the security agencies to escort to project sites in Boko Haram-prone areas.He noted that the aim is to ensure satisfactory completion and usage of the projects appropriated, adding that the exercise would last for about two weeks.
